Shopping Service!

I am opening up an in-store and online shopping service for goods from Japan.

I am on a 6 week holiday in Natori, Japan and will have lots of time to shop for all of you~

The service is open from today until Friday, August 19.

I will be able to purchase through any online stores and in any stores that have a branch in Sendai or close to Sendai, however I specialize in fashion.

I ship anywhere worldwide through Japan Post.

I will accept Paypal only and in Australian dollars (AU$).

How it works:

• Fee: I will charge a 10% service fee from your total purchase amount. You can purchase from as many stores as you like and I will charge 10% of the total of all the purchases. The service fee will cover the Paypal fee and repacking fee. I will also charge an extra ￥460 per order that includes any in-store purchases. This fee covers the train ride to Sendai and back.
• Payment: Payment will be made through Paypal in Australian dollars only. I will convert the purchase amount for you through XE within 24 hours of your order. I will appreciate it if you can provide the total amount for your order prior to making the order. Please double check that the price for the item you want is tax inclusive, or else I will have to charge the extra 5% Consumption Tax.
• Shipping: As mentioned above, I will ship anywhere worldwide through Japan Post. The buyer is responsible for the shipping fee and I will provide a quote prior to shipping the item. The shipping fee will be charged separately from the service fee. Shipping time will vary depending on the location and type of shipping. Please check the Japan Post website for more details. I am not responsible for missing packages but I may be able to help contact Japan Post for you if required.
• Ordering: To order, please email me at: smileysmiles88@hotmail.com. I will get back to you within 24 hours of your email. I will purchase the items once the payment has been cleared. Please understand that I am not responsible if the item you want is out of stock, but I can personally look for the item for you. However, if I am unable to find the item, I will refund the amount for that item.

Here is a list of some of the shopping malls I frequent in Sendai (websites are in Japanese only):

• S-PAL - Conveniently located at Sendai train station, S-PAL has a wide range of different fashion styles as well as beauty products and character goods. Brands include LOWRYS FARM, Peach John, Mystic, e hyphen world gallery, etc.
• FORUS - Much like S-PAL, FORUS caters for a variety of fashion styles ranging from gothic lolita to mode. However, FORUS also has a floor for designer brands such as COMME des GARÇONS, Tsumori Chisato, Anna Sui and Vivienne Westwood Red Label. There is also a Village Vanguard in FORUS, which is always fun to visit.
• PARCO - PARCO is also similar to the previous two malls with it’s variety in fashion styles. I go to PARCO to visit earth music & ecology.

Sendai also has a large undercover shopping strip and many independent stores and local designers. Please check on the websites of the brands you like to see if they have a branch located in Sendai!

As for online shopping, I will be able to purchase any items and have it shipped to where I am staying. Domestic shipping usually takes 2-3 days and most online stores provide free shipping if your order over a certain amount.

I’m in Natori なう

Good morning from 名取～

It’s summer and super hot over here!  Well it’s not as hot as Perth’s 40C but it’s damn humid! I’m hoping my Indonesian-ness will help me survive in the heat~

I want to ride my bicycle

I was having a discussion with Phil last night about what we’re gonna do while I’m over in Japan. 

He reckons it’s best for me to rent/borrow a bicycle.  He rides a bicycle to get to places around Natori so it might be hard for us to go out to places further away from his house together if I don’t have a bike (1 hour walk or so away). Plus it will be summer so we will get super sweaty walking in the heat!
